After making a splash during its debut performance at Launch Music Conference in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Connecticut-based indie pop band Internet Tears returns to capture more hearts through the year’s hottest months with its brand new single "Feels Like Summer," out now via Black Barrel Records.
The quartet gave fans a dreamy taste of romance with the single "I Want You" in April, conveying the scintillating excitement of new love. With "Feels Like Summer," the band continues to tap into those same incomparable emotions, this time tying the theme into the limitless potential and undeniable heat of the season. Punk and rock influences provide the track with an irresistible edge, while sweet, flirtatious lyrics will sweep listeners away into their own sun-soaked fantasy.
"'Feels Like Summer' is not just about how the season makes you feel audibly, but it gives you the feeling of love, compassion, and connection between loved ones during the warm months. It’s about how summer love can parallel the feeling you get from the season and the feeling you get from intimate connection." - Daniel Louis, Internet Tears
The official music video is also available now on YouTube. Directed by Louis and filmed in Brooklyn, the clip echoes the immersive radiance of the song in its setting and coloring and incorporates scenes captured on 8mm film, lending a vintage touch and welcoming sense of nostalgia that will leave fans yearning for more from this engaging band.
"Feels Like Summer" is the third single Internet Tears has released on Black Barrel Records, following "Death & His Friends" and "I Want You." The band celebrated the new single with a release show at Black Barrel Records' headquarters in Shelton, Connecticut. Accompanying Internet Tears' were labelmates The Inside Out, as well as local acts Soft Spot, Drink Baby, Marlows, and Gold Eris.
