ON REPEAT: What I'm Listening To (SEPTEMBER 2024)

We're settling into the Fall season pretty nicely and we're surrounded by the crisp air, the smell of leaves, fall scented candles, pumpkins and Fall drinks. Now that we're officially in the greatest season, we're feeling pretty powerful for the rest of 2024. Below is a list of songs that motivated us the most for September.

P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. - The Warning: The Warning's album Queen Of The Murder Scene always seems to be on repeat for us during these months and we've gravitated towards P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. lately for its powerhouse vocals from Daniela Villarreal and motivating lyrics.

Ride The Lightning - Metallica: In case you missed it, we just wrote a big article on 40 Years of Metallica's RIDE THE LIGHTNING. The title track features wailing guitar riffs from Kirk Hammett and thrilling vocals from James Hetfield.

Stardust Chords - Greta Van Fleet: One of the songs that always motivates us for any season is "Stardust Chords" from GVF. The track is mysterious, yet carries the vibe an octave higher than the rest of the album, The Battle At Garden's Gate. Featuring enticing guitar riffs from Jake Kiszka and illuminating vocals from Josh Kiszka, this banger energizes us with its chorus - "Even sinners go to drink the wine, break the bread."

Semi Pro - Hippo Campus: Hippo Campus are known for their easy-listening and indie-pop vibes, pouring their hearts and souls into every bit of music they create. "Semi Pro" features calming yet vibey acoustics, soothing vocals and a memorable chorus - "It feels so damn good/You just love the way I want ya/But I'm cool with it so knock on wood/I've been bad, but I'm only getting better."

Lovely - Mt. Eddy: Lucious vocals from Jakob Armstrong fill the track with indie-punk aesthetic along with simple guitar riffs. The chorus hooks you with relatable lyrics - "Won't you hug me/And hold me/And tell me/I'm lovely."

Somebody Loving You - The Lemon Twigs: The Lemon Twigs present 60s/70s dream-pop that some of us have been waiting our whole lives for. With their romantic vibes, sweet acoustics and dreamy vocals, you're sure to fall in love with "Somebody Loving You."
