Bay Area lover-boys Ultra Q - fronted by Jakob Armstrong, drummer Chris Malaspina, guitarist Enzo Malaspina and never ever least bassist Kevin Judd - have released yet another banger from their upcoming EP "Get Yourself A Friend" due out in November via Royal Mountain Records. "It's Permanent" features a bass line throughout the song that is so unforgettable, vocals from Jakob that make you feel like you're listening to an Ultra Q song, and the drums? Amazing. Flourishing. Repetitive. Energizing.

"It's Permanent", as Flood Magazine put it, is like being in a gothic nightclub. And I could totally see it too. Hittin' the club with Jakob, Kev, Enzo and Chris? It has to be a thing. Jakob mentions that the goal with the track was to try to create something cinematic since the band had never done that before. "If nothing else, I hope this song provides a couple of minutes of gothic escapism." And that it does.

The video, or visualizer I should say, creates the perfect visual for the song as well. It's dark. It's glitchy. It features previous Ultra Q tour footage. It also features scenes from the film The Decline Of Western Civilization. You can follow Ultra Q on Instagram and Twitter, listen to "It's Permanent" here and watch the music video below.
